What is meditation?

Meditation is learning to quiet your mind so you can have more peace outside of meditation.

What if I can’t sit still or get quiet?

This happens to many of us! Meditation is knowing how to get in touch with your true quiet self, regardless of what is happening around you (even in your mind). The class will help you find the best way to do that.

Does meditation interfere with my prayer practice?

No, quite the opposite! Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you listen. Meditation is not a religion.

What will we do in the training?

We will learn how meditation affects your body, and why it helps improve many conditions (stress, blood pressure, sleep, depression).

Session 1 is learning the basics

Session 2 is learning how to perfect your practice

Session 3 is a group discussion on how meditation can benefit you in your every day lives

Is meditation hard?

Meditation, when done correctly, should be comfortable and effortless. The three day training is to help make that happen for each person.

Why meditate?

Today we are inundated with demanding work and personal commitments. We often get excited and inspired and that can quickly turn into overwhelmed and exhausted.

Your body is naturally designed for well-being. When practicing properly, meditation evokes a deep sense of connection and peace and physiologically, your body responds. Scientific research reveals your breathing slows, metabolic system stabilizes, heart rate normalizes, and stress hormones fall.  Read more here.
